A Scottish freelance illustrator based in Edinburgh, who explores through line, dot and pattern. Since graduating from Gray’s School of Art, Laura has devoted much of her time to honing her skills in illustration. With a passion for flora and fauna and their intricacies, Laura’s work often centers on naturally found objects in and around her local area. Collecting and scavenging these curiosities from woodlands and beaches helps her maintain a strong connection with the land and its wildlife.
Laura primarily works with drawing mediums such as fine liner, watercolours, pencil and marker pens. Her love of meticulous detail, tonal depth and movement has been heavily inspired by scientific illustrations such as those seen in the botanical, entomological and geological categories.
